Delivering Excellence & Fulfilling our Corporate Responsibility
Social Enterprise, Remploy delivering window supply & fitting package on IMPACT Manchester Project
The IMPACT Manchester framework has been a highly successful contract for our North West Living Space team. Our ability to demonstrate diversity and openness to change was a major contributing factor in winning a place on the framework. You may ask yourself... "What is a social enterprise and why should we use them?"
‘A Social Enterprise (SE) is a business with primarily social objectives, whose surpluses are reinvested in the business or the community, rather then being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders or owners‘. So in today's increasingly aggressive market which is looking to maximise value for its customers what better way to promote the use of SE's that are able to deliver the product while "Selling The Difference"
During the tender process we were approached by Remploy to be our window product supplier. On discussions with them at this early stage it was found that they had tendered directly to IMPACT but were unsuccessful in becoming a partner as they were unable to demonstrate the ability to deliver the full external shell package. It is without doubt that our willingness to explore and take forward Remploy as part of our delivery team played a part in securing our position on the framework.
